Our two hearts met as childhood sweethearts, growing up and experiencing all things together; Blessed with wonderful family and friends and a life full of love.
Planning each step of our life, from getting our first jobs and going to university, to buying our first house and getting married, together we have created and shared adventures and milestones.
After marrying we planned to enjoy being husband and wife for a short time and then…then it would be time to consider making two three. A year, lets wait a year, we’ll buy a bigger house and then…then lets give it a go.
Well, four years passed, the bigger house was bought, yet we were still two.
The previous three years were a bit of a waiting game, attending the odd appointment, but generally waiting to reach the ‘top of the list’. Finally we reached there and in September 2013 we embarked on our first round of assisted conception.
We didn’t know what the future held, but we knew our goal and our eyes were firmly on the prize.
It’s with delight that I can say that this blog which initially started as an exclusive account of our ivf journey has migrated into a that of pregnancy, birth and now the roller coaster that is parenthood. For we were blessed with success after our first round, getting our Big Fat Positive at the end of October 2013 and meeting our precious little one in June 2014.
Expect an honest, heartfelt record of events pre treatment, post treatment, throughout pregnancy and following the birth of our amazing Son.
